Weird dreams? Declare the Word of God Out Loud and Fight!
Last night, I had some weird dreams. I forgot about them after I hit snooze a few times and then had my morning quiet time, but think God brought them to mind again as I was pray journalling. I asked, “Lord, what does this mean? Will you show me how to pray?”
And I felt him reply, “Rise up and fight! You have my Word, my promises. You know how to fight.”
So I wrote down some things on my heart, found the verses to match, then declared them out loud.
In this season, there is a lot happening in the physical and spiritual realms. I pray we can help each other be shrewd as snakes and innocent as doves (Matthew 10:16) so we can stand guard against attacks from the enemy (1 Peter 5:8). God has given us the ability to declare his living Word out loud, just as Jesus did when the devil tried to tempt him (Matthew 4:1-11).
Then a short time later, a friend from small group texted to say I was in her dream … and that she’d be praying for me about some of the things that were in my dream too. 🤯
Praise God for always supporting us! In so many ways. 🙏 With God, we already have the victory.
Do you need a reminder of any of these promises? Let’s pray / say the verses together! ❤️
1. Take every thought captive to Christ.
*We demolish arguments and every pretension that sets itself up against the knowledge of God, and we take captive every thought to make it obedient to Christ. (2 Corinthians 10:5)
2. You are holy, pure, redeemed.
*But now he has reconciled you by Christ's physical body through death to present you holy in his sight, without blemish and free from accusation (Colossians 1:22)
3. I heal all your diseases.
*Praise the Lord, my soul, and forget not all his benefits—who forgives all your sins and heals all your diseases, (Psalm 103:2-3)
4. I will protect you from danger.
*For I,’ declares the Lord, ‘will be a wall of fire around her, and I will be the glory in her midst.’” (Zechariah 2:5)
*Have mercy on me, O God, have mercy! I look to you for protection. I will hide beneath the shadow of your wings until the danger passes by. (Psalm 57:1)
5. You are an overcomer through me!
*“Because he has loved Me, therefore I will deliver him; I will set him securely on high, because he has known My name (Psalm 91:14)
*No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us. (Romans 8:37)
6. I love you my darling and will never let you go.
*It is the Lord who goes before you. He will be with you; he will not leave you or forsake you. Do not fear or be dismayed.” (Deuteronomy 31:8)
Father God, we praise your mighty name. We declare that you ARE more glorious and mighty than anything in this world (1 John 4:4). Help us today to stand firm in your truths and rebuke any lies from the enemy. Thank you for giving us your Word, full of your truth, to help us everyday. We love you so. “Here's my heart, Lord. Take and seal it seal it, seal it for thy courts above” (Come Thou Fount). In Jesus’s name, I pray. Amen.
