The Yay Project in The Spiritual Go-Getter Magazine (August 2021)
In life, we’re often taught to take calculated risks. To weigh the data, make lists of the pros and cons to lessen our chances of failure. While this can be a good thing, how many times has God broken the mold?
People thought Abraham was crazy. (A child at his age?)
And Daniel. (Still not bowing down even when the King / your boss is threatening you?)
And Mary. (Must be lying, what virgin gets pregnant?)
And Jesus. (God in a human body??)
Has God ever asked you to do something that seemed crazy?

Starting The Yay Project is probably the biggest crazy faith thing I’ve ever done. Never had I ever imagined that God would ask sensitive, afraid of rejection me to publicly write about rejection three months after experiencing rejection… or that he would heal me with each post, reminding me ‘You are you (Yay)’ each day.
Only God could have taken me from being afraid to testify to testifying almost daily to anyone who wants to listen because his love is so powerful and knows no end. The kind of love that had (and has!) me doing my best to say “Yes, Lord” to whatever I felt him asking me to do — however crazy it seemed — because I know that I know that I know he is God. That he cares for his children and will do immeasurably more than we could ever ask or imagine.
Now to him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to his power that is at work within us, (Ephesians 3:20)
Are you sensing God asking you to do something that requires crazy faith?
If you are, I pray this is the moment you’ll choose to go all in with God forever. To walking in faith, big steps or small steps, just always stepping towards God.
Blessed are we to have so many heroes in the Bible. Maybe you have some real life faith heroes too. I pray we’ll all be who God made us to be and allow him to use us to be faith heroes for someone else — may our lives point people towards our great hope daily.
