Worshipping God During COVID-19

Christian graphic Delirious lyrics over the mountain and the sea your river runs with love for me by Jenni Lien of The Yay Project

How wonderful is it that we can ask God to take our fears and anxieties. Always, anytime.

Last night, I came before God feeling a little stressed because I’d started to take on some responsibilities that weren’t mine but His. Gently, he reminded to not be so worried. He wasn’t worried, in fact he was happy about things.

“You are?” I asked.

“Yes,” He said. “You’re obeying, growing, spending time with me, serving others. You’re going as I lead. The dissatisfaction you feel is because you’re looking at worldly standards not my standards. You know you can’t rush my plan, my child. You know I set aside this purpose for you before you were born, You know all you need to do is exactly what I give you. You know my plans for you are better than anything you could think up yourself. So relax! Relax, my love. Enjoy the journey and work with joy! I am with you every step of the way.”

This advice was perfectly tailored for me but I think could also be applicable for every one of us and our situations.

So thankful for extra downtime these days to sit at the feet of Jesus and enjoy his presence. ❤️

Thank you, Lord, for your kindness, gentleness, fierceness, goodness, endless love and for satisfying our need for a Savior. We know we’re sinful and undeserving … Lord, help us appreciate the weight of what you did for us, to accept and live in your gift of freedom, and to encourage all we meet to do the same.
