Knowing, Trusting, Obeying God's Voice

In life, sometimes it seems like many things are unpredictable. But we don’t need to fear. We are so blessed to be led by Jesus, our Good Shepherd.

As I was reading John this morning (chapters 8-11), my heart grew so excited knowing that we can not only carefully study his character and learn about what he did for others, but we can know him for ourselves. He was not just their Shepherd, he can be ours! We can know his voice! We can be led and protected by him!

My sheep listen to my voice; I know them, and they follow me. I give them eternal life, and they will never perish. No one can snatch them away from me, for my Father has given them to me, and he is more powerful than anyone else. No one can snatch them from the Father’s hand. The Father and I are one.” (John 10:27-30)

There is nothing we cannot overcome with Jesus. He has ALREADY laid down his life so we could live. May every hardship and joyous moment be a chance for us to grow closer to him and give him glory. Today let’s thank him for all he’s done / is doing, rest in his loving embrace, and enjoy our day!

Personally, I needed the reminder to enjoy today. Sometimes my prayers focus on how I can obey God super carefully and not make any mistakes. But there I go, trying to be perfect which isn’t God’s will.

“I hear all your prayers,” he reminded me. “Don’t worry. You obey but it’s my plan right? Don’t take on responsibilities that aren’t yours but mine. I want you to enjoy today (all caps, underline haha). It’s my special day for you. Enjoy my blessing.”

The thief’s purpose is to steal and kill and destroy. My purpose is to give them a rich and satisfying life. (John 10:10)

Praying we enjoy the blessing of this new day with God. 🙏
